The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has created Hospital Compare, an online tool that enables visitors to the site to compare their local hospitals with other hospitals in the state and nation, based on the care given in three areas: heart attacks, heart failure and pneumonia.

To access the site, visit www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov/.
