QUARTER: The New Mexico Quarter, the 47th coin in the 50 State Quarter Program, will be released April 7. The coin features a Zia sun symbol - emblematic of the influence of Native American cultures throughout New Mexico - over an outline of the state, which is nicknamed the "Land of Enchantment." The Zia Pueblo believe their sun symbol represents the giver of all good, who gave gifts in groups of four. Hence, the four groups of four rays each represent things such as the four seasons and four directions.
