U.S. mint reopens sites to tourists

The United States Mint is offering tours in its Philadelphia and Denver locations. The sites welcome military and veteran groups as well as school and youth groups, and they are wheelchair accessible.

The Mint does not have a production facility at its headquarters in Washington, D.C., but there is a sales kiosk located in Union Station. It includes the commemorative and annual coins, new quarters, collector maps, medals and coin jewelry.

The hours and addresses of each location can be found by visiting www.usmint.gov and clicking on "Tours." The site also provides a virtual tour of the facilities through an online slideshow and video presentation.
